NEW BOOK LAUNCH

I am so excited to tell you that my new book

Self-Healing Made Easy

Is now available in the Amazon Kindle Store

In recent years I have wanted to broaden the base of what I teach and recommend, and take my message of self-healing to everyone.  In addition over the years many have written to tell me that a friend had discovered one of my first books, which were directed to the MS community, began to follow the program, and had experienced phenomenal results with whatever their physical challenge had been.

Self-Healing Made Easy is just what the name implies - an easy-to-follow basic wellness guide, which is applicable to everyone.  Ever since I discovered Qi Gong and the natural healing taught by ancient Chinese medicine men I have ceased thinking in terms of whatever name one's physical challenge may be called by allopathic medicine.  The Chinese believe that all dis-ease stems from disruptions in the natural flow of chi (energy) in our body.

The KIS (Keep it Simple) program I teach and practice is simply stated as how to return our body to a state of perfect biochemical balance, which always equals a state of health.  And I assure you, anyone can follow this simple program.  I have stripped away all but the easy-to-understand basics. It is sure to inspire you, and the cost is only $4.99  Such a deal!

You'll find -
                 Self-Healing Made Easy HERE

I thank you in advance for looking at my book and for telling your friends about it.  I will also say thank you with a very special gift for every person who orders Self-Healing Made Easy and reviews it at the Amazon/Kindle website.

Please remember that you do not need a Kindle reader to order the book.  Amazon will give you an easy-to-install app for your computer and you may read e-books directly from your monitor.

I wish you all good health.

THE IMPORTANCE OF KNOWING WHO YOU ARE

I have just had a days-long experience of being locked out of my Facebook page. I have never had an experience like that before, where I was asked repeatedly to prove who I am. It was like I was on a never-ending cycle or treadmill, all leading back to a statement that my account was temporarily locked. When I was just about to attempt to reach them by phone, I decided to try yet again to resolve the issue myself with fresh, rested eyes.

At that point I remembered my recently adopted mantra, "IT IS WHAT IT IS." With that fresh perspective, in very few minutes I had the issue resolved and my account was "unlocked."

After many hours over the last few days, trying to prove my own identity, I thought of how we many times lose contact with who we are. Each one of us is a unique individual, with unique talents and abilities. We - each one of us - has the ability to be the creator of our lives. And if we don't take charge, then our lives will be like a ship at sea without an engine. That was exactly how I felt until I realized that I had temporarily forgotten my mantra, "IT IS WHAT IT IS."

I remembered anew that I needed to give up the fight, and almost instantly the issue was resolved.  I was reminded of the correlation to my physical healing journey.  When I was first diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis.  I literally lived in the disease.  when I gave up the fight and tuned into my body's innate and unique healing ability, things began to turn around.

To me healing is synonymous with change.  Perhaps what you need to heal is a sick relationship, or perhaps you are in a career that you need to change.  Incidentally, many times having a sick body is intertwined with an unhealthy relationship or a job that is unfulfilling.

Steps to healing anything:

1)         Accept what is.

2)         Give up the fight.

3)         Remember who you are.

4)         Believe in your own uniqueness

I know that you can heal whatever in your life needs to be healed.

I did it and you can too!

Healing of Others

I am not an expert at healing others, but I have had considerable success at sending healing great distances to others.

A few years ago I had been studying this aspect of healing when I received a communication from a friend who lived a great distance from me.  I live on the West Coast of the United States, and she lived in the North East.  She was very ill at that time and had been mostly confined to her bed for weeks with a severe multiple sclerosis exacerbation.  She wanted me to give her some suggestions for things to try since her doctor had been unable to help her.

After communicating with her for a couple of days and suggesting several things that she might try, and nothing seemed to work, I told her that I had been studying distance healing and suggested that we might try it.  She asked how it worked and I explained what I had read about it. Very simply it is based on quantum physics and the fact that we are all energetically connected. Therefore it makes no difference the physical distance between the parties in order to be effective.  I told her that I had not yet tried it, and certainly could not guarantee results, but suggested to her that if she was willing, perhaps we might try it. I also explained that she didn’t need to do anything, nor did she even need to believe in the process.

So after talking a little bit more about the process I told her what time I would send her healing energy.

At the appointed time I sat down to meditate.  After I was deep in meditation I began to visualize “Jane” sitting in front of me, and for about 10 minutes I simply continued to repeat mentally “I am sending healing energy to Jane in _________ (the state where she lived).”  It was just that simple.

The next morning I had an e-mail from “Jane” telling me how excited she was.  She said she had awakened early, feeling like a new person.  She said that for the last two hours she had been busily cleaning her house.  She said, “Betty, you are a miracle worker.”  I said, “No, no.  I didn’t do anything.  I just sent an energetic message to your body’s energy, which is the source of all self-healing. Your body simply turned on its own healing mechanism.”

It is not my intention to go in depth into distance healing, but rather to open your mind to the potential. There are quite a few sources you may pursue if you wish to learn more about this process.

I have included this personal experience with distant healing to hopefully awaken in you a desire to learn more.

For more of my own personal healing story, please visit my website. My own healing journey to overcoming Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis included many important healing tools, including daily meditation, a very strong emphasis on a healthy diet, daily QiGong practice, as well as a few targeted supplements.  All, combined with a strong belief in my body's ability to heal itself, led me to reversing my so-called incurable PP MS.

Self-healing is available for all when we learn to return our body to a state of biochemical balance.

SELF-HEALING - The What, How, Why, and When

Healing is the original, innate self-help program.  That capability resides within each and every living, breathing human being.  We first need to understand that healing is synonymous with change.  Perhaps the thing you may need to  heal/change is a toxic relationship, or perhaps it is a career that has gone awry and keeps you embroiled in physically dangerous stress, or a body that is sick.  Although much of what I am sharing here applies to all kinds of healing, I want to specifically talk about physical healing of our body.

I believe from the depths of my soul, that the ancient Chinese teaching about the cause of dis-ease in our bodies, whatever name allopathic medicine may choose to  apply, is anything that causes our body to get out of biochemical balance.  For many hundreds of years Chinese medicine has taught that our body has an innate energy system that runs through meridian lines, with a series of energy centers they call chakras, and that it is blockages in the flow of that energy which is the root cause of physical ailments of all kinds.

They also believe that the breath is the "engineer" of our self-healing system.  In Genesis the Bible says that God breathed the breath of life into Adam and he became a living soul.  It seems clear that the evidence of the very existence of life itself is our breath.  The first breath demonstrates the beginning of life as we know it, and the absence of the breath is indicative of death.  Since the breath demonstrates life, I believe it is an outward manifestation of what religionists call the soul.

Many things about our physicality can be altered by learning to control and/or manipulate our breath.  The Chinese combined their body energy theory with this the breath theory and many hundreds of years ago developed the self-healing combination of breath and body movements that today we call Qi Gong.

In previous posts I have shared with you my own discovery of the power of Qi Gong practice to improve my Primary Progressive MS symptoms.  Today, 17 years later, I am symptom free and continue my daily Qi Gong  practice.  I have also experienced physical healings of other problems over this period of years.  Qi Gong has been a major healing tool for me.

But there are other important healing tools also.  Remember that all we must do is return our body to a state of perfect biochemical balance for it to become whole again.  A major healing tool is meditation.  I believe that all healing in some way emanates from the soul level.  So we can see the connection between Qi Gong and meditation.  Actually Qi Gong is often called a moving meditation.

All who are serious about meditation will tell you that the ultimate goal of meditation is to connect with our soul, higher self, or whatever we choose to call our connection to the Universe.  Some would call that God.  I choose to call it the Universe or My Source.

I have written much in the past about the power of our attitude, belief, and our intention.  All are important and set the stage for healing.  When does healing actually take place?

One of my mentors, Dr. Wayne Dyer, talks about "sa-tor-i," rhymes with eye, which means instant awakening.  He says that all healing takes place in an instant.  But of course it may take us years to get to that instant.  Then he smiles and reminds us that we get to choose when that instant will be.  I was not aware when my own MS transformation occurred.  I just realized one day that the symptoms were gone.

All aspects of self-healing apply not only to physical problems, but to whatever else in our life we may need to change.   Please emember that our mindset, discipline, belief, and commitment determine how our life turns out.

I refer all readers to Dr. Wayne Dyer's latest book, Wishes Fulfilled: Mastering the Art of Manifesting

WE ARE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT

Self Healing is both Simple and Easy!
I write and teach about healing all the time, and frequently people say to me that I make it seem almost too simple and too easy.  My response is, well, it is!

When I first began writing about my own healing journey of overcoming multiple sclerosis, I learned that in order to be "believable" I had to make everything I wrote fit neatly into those two categories.  That is, say everything in the simplest and easiest terms possible.  I still try to adhere to that formula.

Let's see how simple I can make it!

We are three-part beings, BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT.  I believe that hierarchy is important.

The BODY is what we see when we look in a mirror.  I like to think of my body as the house I live in at this point in time.  It is also important to remember that I am not my body.

The MIND is our intellect, the analytical, thinking part of our being.

The SPIRIT is our connection to our source, the greater Universe, our creator, the Divine, or whatever you wish to call that power that is greater than ourselves.

I define healing as synonymous with change.  Healing can be about our physical body, our mind, etc.  What we may need to heal may be a sick relationship, or perhaps a career that is slowly robbing us of our life force.

The mind holds the key to healing.  Deep within our intellect we must first believe that healing can occur, and we must have that intention.  The next step is tapping into our spirit.  I refer to that source as "The Healer Within."  That innate self-healing ability with which all of us were born. One does not need to be an intellectual giant to bring about healing.  It is available to every one of us.

The only thing that can prevent you from healing or manifesting your desires is fear.  How does one overcome fear and change or develop their belief level?  You must change your state, your story, or what you tell yourself.  You can and must get excited about the outcome as you set your intention, and in that state your belief level will increase.

As you increase your belief level, and fears subside, then the spirit comes into play.  Quantum physics has taught us that we are all connected - to each other, to everyone and everything around us.  It is the spirit - our spirit or soul energy, that connects us. For me the primary connecting link to spirit is through meditation.  The role of spirit is to take our intention - that which we desire to produce - and reach out to sources and attract to us whatever we need to demonstrate our intention.

The path to healing is the same whether we want to heal our physical body, or perhaps a failing relationship, or we need to make a new career choice.  We are always the healer, and any healing is always our choice.

There are "tools" I like to call them that help us along our healing path.  Seventeen years ago I was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, and today I have been totally symptom free for about eight years.  A healthy diet, daily practice of QiGong, and meditation, are some of the healing tools I learned and still practice today.  You may read my story at my primarywebsite.  I DID IT AND YOU CAN TOO!

MY TURN . . .

Does politics ever seem to you to be an undecipherable conundrum?  It certainly does to me.

First let me tell you that I am not a political animal.  I have never felt comfortable following any particular popular belief in any area of life.  I was raised by a strict fundamental minister father, but could never accept that philosophy.  The more mature I got the more that belief system became a dilemma for me.  At the same time he encouraged me to think for myself and to not just follow the crowd - any crowd.

This past weekend in the United States in the South Carolina Republican Primary Election we observed what appeared to have been a last minute reversal in the conservative so-called religious right, swinging their vote to Newt Gingrich.  Apparently that reversal was based on the emotional appeal of his debating skills, not his record in Washington or his character.

Conservative Republicans always tout “family values” as one of their primary causes.  How can they possibly justify an endorsement of Mr. Gingrich’s lifestyle?  I listened carefully when he was interviewed about this issue after the election, and he indicated that he had asked for forgiveness and is now a church-going loyal husband.

Oh Please!  Excuse me, but I don’t buy it.
My now deceased Republican Baptist minister father must be shaking his fist in the heavens.  It would be interesting to hear what he might say.  When will we wake up and stop voting for dishonest politicians who make millions in politics, with questionable personal values, and then give us a song and dance around the issues when they surface in political debates.

My opinion may not amount to diddly-squat (one of my father’s favorite sayings), but at least I feel better for having said it.
Enough of my soap box.  It is unusual for me to write anything about politics, and I may not ever do it again.  My website, Betty's House . . . Life After MS, and companion newsletter, Journey to Wellness, attest to my penchant for not following the crowd.  I invite you to visit my website.  I think you'll find something of value, especially if you have a physical challenge.
